Getting Started
Install
Download the .dmg and open it. Drag PowerPic to your Applications folder, then launch it.
On first launch, macOS may ask to confirm opening an app downloaded from the internet — it’s safe to approve. The build is signed with the author’s Developer ID and notarized (Apple checked it for malicious software).
PowerPic lives in your macOS top menu bar — look for the bracketed sparkle icon in the upper-right of your screen.
If your menu bar is full, the icon may be hidden — hold ⌘ to rearrange or remove existing icons.
Permissions
PowerPic will ask you to enable the following permissions:
| Screen Recording | Required to capture your screen, requested on first capture; it will be applied after you quit and reopen the app. |
| Accessibility | Required only if you enable the “Override native screenshot (⌘⇧4)” option. |
First capture
Select Capture from the app menu, or press ⌘⇧6 anywhere. Drag a rectangle over the area you want and release. The captured area opens in the PowerPic editor.
